Week 6 reflection

This week in Te Kahu class we have been doing lots of work like our essential facts, spelling tasks and Ect.

Something I enjoyed doing this week was working more on my place value by using it to solve multiplication problems,I really enjoy doing place value because im really confident and it is really easy. something else I enjoyed this week was working on my spelling,I also like spelling because it helps me to get better and use it when we have spelling test Ect.

Something I found challenging this week was essential facts/multiplication.Because I did worst the last time we did it,my last score was 80 and my recent score was 30.How it made me feel was a little disappointing so I have to work on my multiplication more so next time I can get 100 out of 100.

One of my goals I have been improving on is my spelling work,I have getting better every week when I practice a new set of words every week and do three task.I also get someone to read my words to see if i can remember how to spell them.Spelling really isn't my favourite but I always try and practice to get better.

Showing the mercy value means to be true to yourself and every else and to show support and kindness every where you go. I've shown this value to my school teachers the students and my family.I helped my teachers by being on disciples when theirs not enough seniors or when there is no one doing it,Iv's also been helping my teacher fundraiser for our senior camp.I also have been helping all the other students when their injured by taking them to the sick bay or bringing them an ice-pack and telling them nicely to bee fair and nice to others to not hit each other and keep your hands to your self.At home iv'e just been helping my parent's with jobs to help around the house and looking after our new puppy.

Next week im really looking forward to far north swimming zones if coivd doesn't come back. Im also looking forward to all the other learning we are going to be doing next week in our classroom but I really want to do more R.E 

 

Week 5 reflection

What we did during week five was finishing our 2021 america's cup document learning about what compassion means to you and the special people in your life for R.E and make a boat float.   

Something I enjoyed was creating a piece of art I stared during the week about our pepeha it was very cool and fun to start making.I also enjoyed watching how long my boat was going to float it was a little hard to structure it on what I wanted it to look like on my plan but it actually lasted for a while and I was surprised.

Something I found challenging was Creating my first boat I rushed through my plan I didn't use a ruler to rule my lines and my measuring was and my measuring was a tiny bit off but my boat looked like it from from my plan.When I tested it to see how long it would float for without taking in any water,My goal was at lest 40 or 30 minutes but only lasted for 22 minutes and 30 seconds so I was satisfied with my time but I also needed to make some improvements.

I have been improving on my goals with place value by using it to solve big and small addition and subtraction basic facts.I also have been improving with my spelling over the past few weeks iv'e gotten better by doing 3  task for each set of words i chose each week and getting someone to read the words I have chosen for the week and try to remember how to spell each word. 

The mercy value means to be kind helpful and show the golden rule everywhere you go.I have shown the mercy values by Helping my parents at home by doing chores like the washing,Dishes,and vacuuming the house.I have also shown it in school by being on disciples to help teachers helping the younger students during play time and helping teachers if they need any help with anything.

What im looking forward to is swimming practice and more amazing learning.

Week 4 Reflection

My highlight this week was finishing a good amount of my contract work because i was working Interdependently  and realising I work better with other people I don't really work with and me just working only.

A challenge this week was learning how to work out place value with equations.But I gave it a try and I did really good for myself and understood how to work out equations with place value.

Something that I did in the footsteps of Jesus is show mercy in the school and outside of school and 

help the younger students and help learn the younger children the chant  for the day of our whole school swimming competition.

Iv'e shown the mercy value this week by helping the teachers and being helpful to the new students in our school. 

Weekly Reflection

 The highlight of my week was going to tech for the first time this week . It was really fun Because we did cool activities with Mr Subritzky.The most challenging thing this week was when we did maths groups with Whaea Danni because I couldn't understand what place value was.Something I want to work on next week is getting our whole house group to learn the chant for our whole school swimming competition so we are good to go.This week I have Shown the mercy value outside in the playground and helping the teachers.What my looking forward to next week is our swimming competition were having,because I would like to see every one enjoying themselves and being supportive on the day.  

Reflection week 2

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            The highlight of my week was doing swimming practise for our school competition.Something challenging I thought was trying to finish part of my contract.My success during week 2 was finishing our paint art and most of my contract.Something new I have learnt was learning about lent and what Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday is all about.What im looking forward to is swimming and reading the books we got from our school Library.
