Making a Change

In Kakapo we have been talking about sustainability and how company's can change there packages and become plastic
free.In the class we have been reading two text about
taking action and where to next. When we were reading these two text it gave us determination to do something about the debris in the water.Example our teacher was showing us a example about using cardboard and plastic if people started using cardboard instead the other product (plastic) will not sell so they would have to change and  use cardboard, reusable bags and more. The great garbage patch is 1.6 million square kilometres long. That makes it twice bigger than Texas. Also the plastic in the water is effecting all the animals that live in there and it takes a long time for the different plastic to break down.So make a change for the whole world and make a change.

Rainfroest learning

In Kakapo we have been creating postes and slides about the rainforest and the desecration that is happening.
Every day trees are being cut down and animals being forced out of the homes and replacing the trees they cut down with palm trees for palm oil which is the highest oil crop in the world.
Thousands of fires are burning our forest which it is sending clouds of smoke that pollute the air.
And if this keeps continues it will release a big amount of carbon dioxide that will be a health risk.
We can help by protecting all the animals that live in the forest and plant more trees to help the environment.
We all depend on the rainforests because it gives us clean air and plants also absorb carbon dioxide and releases oxygen from there leaves to give us air and clean our water.

NZ/New Zealand level 1!!!

Monday at midnight New Zealand moved to level 1.New Zealand is the only country that has no new cases of coivd 19 and also our number of deaths we had. Level 1 is a new start, we don't have to social distance sanitise our hands that much wear mask and gloves.while we are in level 1 we can have as many people in our house hold and kiwis that are in NZ we can travel very often.
I am proud to be a kiwi because if i was any where else in the world i would stay inside and never go out. While this is happening you could still keep up your higyine up by satirising your hands and wear gloves. When we moved into level one it felt like every thing was back to normal but i got used to the routine of when it was level 3 and 2 and how things worked. How did you feel when we moved into level 1.
