In the Tui class we created an artwork inspired by Sandra Silberzweig. Sandra Silberzweig is a world famous artist. Her art work was not perfect she used bright and dark colours.

Here are some photos to show you our Sandra Silberzweig. When we started our colours our teacher talked about warm and cold colours on the colour wheel. This shows what colours we were using for art. now i will show you my finished art product.

Instructional learning

This morning the Tui class had to write a Instructional piece of writing of how to tie your shoe.

This piece of writing had to be Specific

To make it Specific you would need.

1.use your left and right strategy

2. be Specific in your writing and what you mean

3.make changes if you need to if it didn't work

all these ideas would help you if you were doing a Instructional writing.

Yesterday's Instructional writing Aliens VS  Monsters!!!!!

Yesterday Mrs Cutler got us in to buddies. Then she said one of your buddy has to go on each side of the room. I was on the left side of the room Mrs Cutler graped the left side of the room no one had know idea what we were doing one side was doing Alines and the other was doing Monsters. How to write this is in 4 or 3 easy steps
1.tell them you have to use colour 
2. Do they have to use shapes
3.Make your writing Specific
4. don't talk to the other side or tell them what you are doing.

I heard rocks dropping at the edge of the mountain and a hawk flying

I saw children in front of me and the bouncing of backpacks

I felt like weight was hanging on to me and I was going to slip

I wonder how far there is to go and what would happen NEXT!....

should Matariki be a public holiday

Matariki should be an NZ public celebration for everyone. because over 500 hundred people come to tell there young ones what was matariki's special job.

Why Matariki should be a public celebration. Because Maori's believe that matariki was a meaning to bring every one together  and to tell the rich history.

Matariki is a Maori new year for every one to celebration . Matariki stars in a late June or early may if it was going to be a bad season the sky will be grey and the clouds would of cover the stars of matariki. If it was going to be a good season it  was going to be sunny and you would see the stars very clearly from the night sky or the day.

NZ celebration's other occasions like Guy Fawkes the Queens birthday these are not related to New Zealand. New Zealand celebration's  waitangi day Anzac day and Easter these are related because they have a connection of what they do and the meaning of it.

Do you agree with me to let matariki be a new Zealand public celebration or Holiday.

world plastic invasion

We created an animation to share a message about an environment issue in the world and give some people some ideas on how they can help.
i chose to make mine about
earth plastic invasion because i thought about it because plastic around the world can effect our sea creatures and the ones on land how to help is to start punting rubbish bins and if you see rubbish or plastic.
